As the leader of Granite Financial Partners’ investment advisory team, Jacob is dedicated to ensuring that every client’s portfolio aligns with their unique financial goals and risk tolerance. With Knowledge and Reliability at the core of his approach, he oversees investment selection and financial modeling, helping clients navigate complex markets with confidence and clarity.
Before joining GFP in 2020, Jacob spent 11 years working with firms in and around Boston, serving as a consultant, analyst, planner, and retirement plan specialist. Most recently as a retirement plan analyst, he was responsible for constructing and monitoring qualified plan investment line-ups, while preparing plan level benchmarking reports for investment committees. His diverse background also includes time as a university instructor of English literature and Western culture in China, reinforcing his Leadership in communication and education.
Jacob believes that successful investment management is about more than just numbers—it’s about understanding each client’s vision and ensuring their financial plan supports it. With Integrity, he meets clients where they are, breaking down complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights. “I strive to have conversations with clients, not at them,” he explains. “Jargon doesn’t build trust—honest, transparent guidance does.”
A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) and a Level III Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) candidate, Jacob holds a bachelor’s degree in management and business with a minor in Asian studies from Skidmore College. His ability to combine deep investment expertise with meaningful, personal connections makes him a trusted Steward of clients’ financial futures.
Beyond his work in finance, Jacob embodies the GFP value of Family and stewardship in his personal life. A passionate environmental advocate, he has volunteered for organizations such as the Connecticut River Conservancy, Deerfield River Watershed Trout Unlimited, and Millers River Watershed Council. He also enjoys blogging, permaculture design, and staying active through running, cycling, hiking, and camping.
